Fairgrounds Middle School needs your help

My children attend Fairgrounds Middle School which is currently
running a fund raiser! The school needs your support. It's fast,
convenient and easy for you to help.

When you buy, renew or extend your favorite magazine subscriptions,
40% of each purchase goes to Fairgrounds. The magazine prices are
very competitive, so it's a win-win for you and the school. In
addition, the kids get a prize ticket for each subscription.

If you subscribe before Monday, my kids get triple credit! So, please help, and please help early!

To order a subscription, just go to http://www.qsp.com/store/LightReg.aspx and enter "425010801" as the school number. Then when you go to check out and it asks for participant information, in the box marked "QSP ID" enter "UTT4" (Joshua's id number) so he will get credit. Joshua and Sarah are splitting the prizes, so I really need to get twice as many subscriptions as most parents.

Remember, the magazine subscriptions do not have to be new subscriptions, you can add time to existing subscriptions, but be sure to mark it as a renewal and not a new subscription. Otherwise you may find yourself getting two copies.

In addition to the magazines, QSP also offers many CDs and books.

Thanks a lot. And Joshua and Sarah thank you too.

Looking into the Lyrics

As I have goten older, I have started listening more closely to the lyrics of the songs I grew up with. For instance, in the Jim Stafford song "Spiders and Snakes", the girl says to the boy that she does't like spider and snakes when he teases her with a frog. So if he is waving a frog at her, where did the spider and snakes come from?

Introduction

Hi, I'm Brian Utterback. I work at Sun Microsystems, Inc, and I have a blog there, but I thought it was time to have one that wasn't hosted at the pleasure of my employer.
